JOANNA TETERS

Soul/R&B/Reggae Singer and Bandleader

Brooklyn-based Joanna Teters serves her audiences an infectious brand of New School Soul characterized by her ability to effortlessly switch from lush, deep sultry tones to a smooth, smokey Jazz and Blues. Her sophisticated and poised stage presence is shot with playful energy that connects intimately with her audiences and captivates their hearts and minds. As a young student at Berklee College of Music where she began developing and honing her craft as a songwriter, vocalist and bandleader, Joanna was immediately recognized for her extensive musicality. Her debut album, “Warmer When It Rains,” released in 2018, takes listeners on a journey of the many styles this young artist has already cultivated.

Compared to the likes of Macy Gray, Amy Winehouse and Joss Stone yet clearly on a path of her own, Joanna Teters is poised for next level success. Her music is already reaching millions of listeners and continues to organically attract music lovers from around the world. With national and international tours under her belt and the experience of supporting world class artists such as Eric Roberson, Jacob Collier, Goapele, Thundercat, Moonchild & Gabriel Garzon-Montano—to name a few—it’s evident that Joanna Teters is on a trajectory of creative growth worth watching.
